Too many young people today are being told what success looks like instead of being given the chance to discover it for themselves. And too much youth development work prioritizes conformity over creativity, shallow achievements over authentic growth, and meaningless perfection over real progress. We believe young people deserve the opportunity to explore their unique talents through hands-on experience and meaningful work in a supportive community, even when that path is messy, imperfect, and unpredictable.
Our goal is not just to teach kids to be engineers - there are plenty of programs that do that already. We want to curate a culture where young people engineering their own futures, whatever those may be, with purpose and intent is the norm. Rather than waiting on the grown-ups to tell them what to do, we want young people to take charge of their own learning and development. Our role is to surround them with the resources, mentorship, and support they need to make that happen - and to support and amplify the work of others doing the same.
We curate & create resources - writing, curriculum, tools, and connections - and do consulting work to support people and programs that embody our core values.
We also offer fiscal sponsorship to programs that closely align with our mission, helping them with administrative and financial work so they can focus on what they do best.
